Helping the good become great and the great become legends.

IcePlate is a supercharger for the human body. Worn close to the body, IcePlate Curve is a Medium ESAPI-shaped water bottle that cools/warms you while providing 50 oz (1.5 L) of hands-free plate carrier hydration or backpack hydration-- and unparalleled control over your environment. Engineered for elite users looking for every edge in the performance of their duties, IcePlate Curve creates decisive competitive advantages where none previously existed by weaponizing temperature for users. Anyone looking to settle for "good enough" should look elsewhere.
IcePlate Curve can be worn inside of some plate bags, depending on your issued carrier and issued armor (click here for details). However, it can also be worn inside any Medium ESAPI-compatible plate carrier by itself for training/physical fitness workouts like The Tactical Games, Crossfit, Memorial Day Murph, etc.

The science behind IcePlate Curve comes from more than two decades of research conducted by Stanford University, the US Army, USASOC, and the CDC on the effects of cooling on metabolic capacity, recovery, and heat injury prevention under PPE/MOPP and in athletics. Great for a motor cop

The IcePlate works far better than I ever dreamed. For background, I am an LEO, and I am on the motorcycle unit. Our agency is stuck wearing wool blend Class A's for patrol duty, and concealed ballistic vests because "tRaDiTiOn." Combine that with the 100 degree days we've gotten, and it kind of sucks - even with the mesh Maxx-Dri airflow vest I have attached to the armor. ESPECIALLY on a bike, with all the heat coming off the cylinder heads. Even drinking 4 Nalgenes in a shift, I felt sluggish and unfocused when it got really hot. I had headaches because I wasn't getting enough electrolytes. I started making rookie mistakes because the heat was distracting. My reflexes were compromised, which is dangerous on a bike.

Well, enter the IcePlate Curve. This probably wasn't how it was intended to be used, but I improvised a solution to put the IcePlate inside the back panel of an old Velocity Systems slick plate carrier I had. I attach it under my Maxx-Dri, and all that under my soft vest. I don't even use the drink function, I just wanted the cooling. Well, now the really hot days are far less daunting. I am noticeably more focused and productive. I am better hydrated, and in a better mood all day. I can usually get about 2 to 4 hours of active cold (seriously, I sometimes get goosebumps and feel like I need a jacket), and another 2 of diminished but still noticeable cool. It's like having my own personal A/C on a motorcycle.

I liked the IcePlate so much, I bought a second one, which I keep in the office freezer. I can easily switch out the plate halfway during my shift, in just a couple of minutes, and I can refreeze the melted one. Now I keep cool for a whole shift.

Sure, it's a little bulky under a concealed vest (I went up a shirt size and it's barely noticeable unless I point it out), and it also causes a slight gap in the sides of the armor. When I'm due for a new vest, I'll account for it. Bullets kill, but so does heat stroke. So does crashing a bike because your focus was compromised. I've never been a heat casualty before, and I intend to keep it that way. I'm almost certainly violating a uniform policy by wearing this, but I don't care. The admins preach wellness, but would rather we suffer heat injuries than switch to a functional working uniform. If they won't help us protect our health, we'll just have to do it ourselves, in any way we can.

Thank you, Qore Performance, for making this product. I'm sure, by keeping me cool and focused, it will indirectly save my life one day, if it hasn't already.

They work great

I ride my bike to work in 115+ degree Las Vegas heat. I had to stop when my heart rate would exceed 170bpm and signs of heat stroke would arise. I bought a slick carrier and these plates to go inside. My heart rate never went above 110 my entire ride and I felt comfortable despite the scorching heat. These plates really do keep you cool in adverse conditions. My original carrier I had could not fit the plates, so I used the strap system in the beginning. The only down side is that if your body is in direct contact with plates that came fresh from the freezer, it can become too cold until you start moving around. Having it directly in the plate bags helps immensely. Highly recommend if you work in hot environments, your body will thank you.

Its great.

Its good but theres one thing that gets me. When you freeze the plate theres a bump under the Q. Other than that its great.

Hi Connor,
Thank you for taking the time to share an honest account of your IcePlate Curve experience. The 'bumps' you are experiencing in your IcePlate Curve are created by over-filling the IcePlate. Water is expanding in the IcePlate Curve as it phase changes from liquid to ice. This is why we created the Fill Line and reference this phenomenon in the IcePlate Curve Instruction/Setup video at timestamp 3:18 and again at 4:03. Here is a link to that video:

Hope this helps, but please let us know if you have any additional questions. #StayFrosty

Perfect Fit and Function

Where I live, the summers are hot. The IPC keeps me cool and hydrated without a sloppy bladder with which to contend. I can tell a considerable difference in my energy level on days where the heat zaps my energy I only wish the drink tube was insulated to keep the water cold so I would have instantly cold water but I can handle a few warm pulls before the cold water flows.

Almost perfect

I love this product. I’m in 90 degree Arkansas humid heat for a military training, and I got cold water in the plates keeping me hydrated and cool.
I have to blow air back in after a big gulp. I think a lot of cold bleeds outwards with only the vest without plates. I froze the plates last night, and they melted pretty quick.

Perfect for vehicle ops!

Since I got my Ice Plate to this side of the pond I´ve ran it as part of my gear in three field exercises. It slips perfectly into the plate pocket of my vest and as we don´t get issued hard plates this is a perfect solution for me. On top of that I´ve found that the Ice Plate in this configuration is way more comfier than any regular hydration bladder when operating with vehicles. No more worrying about bladder leakage due to the immense pressure created by cramming myself between the steering wheel and seat of a Land Rover Defender that obviously hasn´t been designed for POG-shaped reservists. Definitely recommend!
