Unlike standard high-visibility gear that often traps heat, this vest is specifically designed to house two ICEPLATE® Gen 3s—one front and one back—delivering active conductive cooling/heating and hydration while maintaining strict ANSI/ISEA Class 2 compliance. Large Bag: Optimized for Large ESAPI plates (10.25" x 13.25" x 1.1"). Large bags require IMS Pro Gen 3 to secure Medium ICEPLATEs effectively.

The system ships with a Shoulder Adapter for FirstSpear Tubes. For a full quick-release cummerbund, we recommend the AXL Equinox Cummerbund.

ICEPLATE EXO® HiVis Cooling/Heating/Hydration Safety Vest Class 2 is the most revolutionary high visibility safety vest ever created. It packs the conductive power of our ICEPLATE® Gen 3 into an ANSI-compliant Class 2 safety chassis. With millions of man-hours worked without a heat injury, it has no peer in industrial safety.
Standard vests trap heat and odor. The ICEPLATE EXO® HiVis integrates ICEPLATE® Gen 3 technology, providing 70 Watts of conductive cooling/heating and up to 100 fl oz of hydration—features seldom found in standard Class 2 gear.
Frozen ICEPLATE® Gen 3 absorbs metabolic heat through conduction. 70 Watts of cooling per plate significantly reduces core temperature, protecting workers from heat injuries.
Year-round utility. Fill with hot water for winter conductive heating or wear without plates as a standard, highly breathable Class 2 vest on temperate days.
- Class 1: Minimum reflective material for low-traffic areas.
- Class 2: Higher visibility threshold for high-traffic construction and utility sites (HiVis EXO meets this).
- Class 3: Maximum reflective material and sleeves for high-speed roadways.
Each ICEPLATE® Gen 3 holds 50 fl oz. A dual-plate setup provides 100 fl oz (3 L) of hands-free hydration, drastically reducing the need for water breaks.

The Polyester construction is machine washable (cold with like colors) or can be hosed off. Hang dry only.
