I wish I had these years ago. Over my career I’ve developed issues with overheating. Did my first ruck in Texas the other day and it made a world of difference. I’m confident that if I had these from an earlier point in my career I wouldn’t have developed Heat injuries and wouldn’t “need” them now. Great product and I highly recommend them over a bladder system so far.
Ladies and Gents both these products complement each other hand and hand.
Let's start with the Iceplate Curve:
Comfortable and convenient got tired of having my canteen disappear or grow legs and walked off somewhere. Then I tried to integrate the water bottle to my duty belt only to have it awkwardly in the way while on patrol. Those back to back hot humid and long tours the iceplate Curve comes in clutch keeping you cool and hydrated. That magnetic cap is also a great touch been seen that feature on the more expensive water jugs.
Universal IceVent Pads:
At first it take a little playing with the Velcro straps moving the stuff on the belt to accommodate the opening of the vents to feed it thru or where to place the straps. Once the pads are on the right placement of ur size frames they distribute the pressure points from the weight of the gear we have on our rigs. Some of you are like me where there pretty much no space on our belts for anything else these help put the pressure off ur waist.
Great guy, answered emails at quick response times and took cared of any issues I had with with these products. Great guy to support and products will get updated review. Thank you and stay safe.
Zero regrets in purchasing these. I ended up buying another for my wife to use on her pack and in the car. With the 4 mounting points and with the addition of velcro to the ice plate as shown in the video provided here by Qore I can quickly and easily swap my hydration system between plate carrier and back packs. Or just tie on a couple of webbing straps and run it against my back by its self on runs and workouts. Have a long drive in hot weather ? Tie it to the head rest bars on your car seat for an ice pack on your back while you drive.
Wearing body armor daily was giving me a heat rash. I work in the desert southwest and body armor is a MUST for officer safety. After purchasing the IcePlate and inserting it into my body armor, it made that heat rash go away and leveled my body temperature keeping me cool all hours of my shift. Multiple fellow officers purchased the IcePlate after trying mine on. Definitely recommend!
The slots for the straps could line up with the molle webbing better for attachment to the back portion of my carrier. Also, as opposed to velcro with buckles, standard molle straps with buttons would be far more efficient for attachment/removal. Outside of that I am more than pleased.
Some trouble keeping on mark Rides around a bit
I have only got to use my IcePlate Curve once, but that was more than enough experience with the product to confirm that it is a winner! Kept me cool and hydrated. I was worried that that it would be almost to cold for comfort, but that just wasn’t the case. Only issue is the same day I used it I broke the tube at the 90 degree base where it connects to the tank. My fault, not the products fault. One improvement I can think of that would be nice would be the option of a thin from fitted sleeve that goes on the plate and secures the drink tube to the plate. Similar to the molle compatible just thinner with the intention of having it against the body rather than on a plate carrier.
I recently purchased 2 curve ice plates for both my job and for recreation purposes. At work my delivery truck can get up to 120°+ and while my truck has only reached 100° since having the plates they have kept me cool and comfortable. I recommend these to everyone i work with.
This is long over due... I purchased a Ice Plate and have probably 30 hrs with it worn at work. This product is awesome and fit and finish is top notch.. I highly recommend this company and product..
This is my first hydration pack, which I wear inside my Cannae Legion backpack, which normally serves as my range bag. It's a discrete way to get a swig of water, and the cap keeps it protected. At my old shooting range, the RSOs either didn't mind or hadn't noticed. This is a heck of lot better than carrying a bottle in my cargo pant pocket, or leaving it out on the lounge table and run the risk of somebody drinking it or throwing it out by accident.
The IcePlate is easy to fill up - just pour 2 bottles of cold water in there, and I'm good to go. It's just the right size, the curve fits naturally and snugly in there, so that I don't even notice carrying extra weight or protruding into my back. The tube is a good length, so that it can be adjusted as needed, so as to not get in the way. I also like the lightweight, durable construction, so that so far there doesn't seem to be any wear-and-tear from pushing it through PALS webbing on my shoulder strap repeatedly.
I was recently outside on an urban photo shoot, and the water stayed cool, even as the weather warmed up throughout the morning. I normally don't get to shoot outside, so this was a good field test. I definitely looked like a pro, not carrying around a water bottle, with all of my tactical gear.
Lastly, cleanup has been easy and with no strange tasting water...
Overall, I am very satisfied with the product. Qore's IcePlate sounded cool, so I bought it. I'm delighted that it no only looks cool, bu it feels cool, and lives up to its marketing expectations! My only wish is that it was available in black, but wolf grey is close enough.
