IceVents now can connect directly to the inside of all body armor equipped with body-facing loop fields/pontoons. If your carrier is not equipped with internal pontoons, no problem! We've got you covered because IceVents Classic Plate Carrier Stand-Off Ventilation Pontoons come with a set of hook and loop pontoon strips to sew onto any plate carrier, chest rig or soft armor vest (Sewing Guide, Instructions). The loop pontoon strips are backed with adhesive to make the sewing process easier. This sewing can be done at home by those equipped with sewing skills, but most uniform tailors and shoe cobblers can also sew the loop pontoon strips to your plate carrier or soft armor rig for a completely custom and professional setup (this is the route we recommend unless you are have experience sewing your own kit). The loop pontoon strips can be secured to most plate carriers and soft body armor using just the adhesive, but we recommend both adhesive and sewing for best results in strenuous applications.
IceVents are ideal for dry and arid climates where evaporative cooling is effective. For humid climates, we recommend the unrivaled conductive cooling power of IcePlate Curve.

|Water Resistant + Anti-Microbial||IceVents unique channel ventilation creates an effective microclimate for long-term comfort and enhanced endurance.|
|High Tech Materials||IceVents feature exclusive and proprietary Supracor Stimulite impact-absorbing hexagonal honeycomb thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) technology. Stimulite is used and proven in the F/A-18 Hornet, V-22 Osprey, 787 Dreamliner, 747-8 Intercontinental and leading medical products.|

Increased Load Bearing Capacity
|Loads are absorbed and dispersed evenly throughout the honeycomb matrix of IceVents. Because the cells are interconnected, when one cell buckles from impact, the walls of the adjacent cells also buckle to absorb the force, similar to a ripple effect. The fusion-bonded honeycomb in Stimulite absorbs shock in this manner and also has phenomenal load-bearing and load-balancing capability as a result of its elastomeric composition.|

So long Story Short 3 Crushed Vertebra and my rig was just pushing on 2 of them to the point I had to take it off after 30 mins Got the Pontoons and went from Flat to Curved plates and now I can wear it without Issue
Using these in conjunction with a FirstSpear AAC. Need to buy the shoulder pads soon. But these are the comfiest pads I've owned. And I've used an AVS
I wore the shoulder pads on my Spiritus Systems LV119 Overt and MK4 while teaching a class yesterday and there were times I did not realize that I had the PC on. It is very comfortable and distributes the weight of the PC. It is a must have
IceVents (2-Pack): Plate Carrier / Soft Body Armor Ventilation Pontoons
Purchased two sets of these to wear inside an AWS OCPC. I fixed the Velcro to the vest and the pads a according to the directions a week before a major training exercise. The back pads didn't last 72 hours in the maneuver box before they separated from their Velcro backing. I moved the front pads to the back pad position and they lasted about another 5 days before similarly separating. These might be nice for cops, EMS or servicemembers who aren't constantly moving and sweating in their vest, but the Velcro adhesive will fail lightfighters in sustained
high temperature environments.
I put these on my Crye JPC 2.0 and it made the world of a difference. The Crye has narrow shoulder straps on it that can dig into your shoulders when heavy loads are popped on it. After a few hours you start to notice the straps. These pads not only help with the ventilation, but they also really help spread the load out. Would recommend for load distribution more than ventilation.
Not life altering. Not sure I feel any difference really but they seem of good quality and the concept is sound of you apply them with some thought. I only hope the glue holds under conditions faced.
I have been using the IceVents for about a month now and they have been great. I spend about half the time on patrol doing vertical foot patrols in a housing project and the other half doing motorized patrol. I’ve had the IceVents attached to the front and back of my outer carrier along with the IceVents shoulder pads and they do a great job of allowing air to flow between my uniform shirt and my vest without adding bulk to my uniform.
Before the IceVents I used to have to “vent “ my vest to allow the hot air that was built up to escape allowing me to cool off and now there is no need for that.
I have highly recommended this product to various co workers and will continue to stand by this product.
Mounted these on the front of my plate carrier with the ice vent shoulder pads and ice plate on the back. Super comfortable, easy to mount, and clean.
