Regarding ICEFLASK® Wing Holster:

Tension vs. Retention: We designed these with shock cord because user preferences and manufacturing tolerances vary. The shock cord isn't a 'patch'—it is the tuning mechanism that allows you to dial in the exact friction you need.

The Airborne Solution: For high-intensity movement like sprinting, we recommend an airborne bungee. This moves the system from tension (friction-based) to true mechanical retention.

You’re right: ICEFLASK™ isn’t designed for hunting applications, even though it can be made silent using canteen filling/management protocol. It was engineered first for military end-users, where physiological augmentation, durability, thermoregulation, and hydration performance under load are the priority. That same design also makes it useful for cooler-centric activities like fishing, camping, tailgating, and cold-weather overnight use—but not necessarily for hunting. The bump on the top of the ICEFLASK®, which you reference in your review, is an extremely deliberate part of the design for elite military end-users that creates the channel for supplemental shock cord retention of ICEFLASK® in either ICEFLASK® Wing/MOLLE Holsters or a conventional -152 radio pouch. This is how ICEFLASK® is jumpable.
