Sizing & fit

Measure your torso

Measure around your torso at the lower end of your breastbone, including the widest portion of your ribs.

Understand the published lengths

S/M: 17.5 inches and 11 MOLLE channels per side. L/XL: 22 inches and 14 MOLLE channels per side. These are single-side lengths, exclude the SPC Tubes Adapters, and are not usable torso circumference ranges.

Overlap the cummerbund sides to increase rigidity and reduce outward rotation. The SPC Tubes Adapters must also overlap the hook-and-loop field on the outward-facing front plate bag to attach securely.

Allow room for internal accessories

Plate size alone does not determine cummerbund fit. Internally mounted radios, ICEFLASK®, ICEPLATE®, side armor, and ICEVENTS® can require additional circumference. Allow sufficient adjustment for your intended configuration while maintaining the recommended overlap.

If you are near the upper functional adjustment limit without internal accessories and plan to add them, choose the larger cummerbund option. If you are already using L/XL, contact Qore Performance for fit guidance before ordering.

Adjust for your configuration

Make larger adjustments at the shockcord attachment. Make fine adjustments at the SPC Tubes Adapters.

Seasonal adjustment for changes in clothing is standard practice. Recheck fit and attachment overlap when your clothing or internal configuration changes.

Setup videos

To allow greater flexibility for our customers, we have made the AXL Equinox Cummerbund available à la carte. This allows users who previously purchased ICEPLATE EXO® Gen 3 with the side strap option to upgrade to a load bearing cummerbund. This page also allows customers to select color for their cummerbund separately from the color of their ICEPLATE EXO® Gen 3. Included with the AXL Equinox Cummerbund are AXL SPC Tubes Adapters for seamless integration

The Equinox Cummerbund is a rigid, lightweight cummerbund with a captured FirstSpear® Tubes™ attachment. The captured Tubes™ release mechanism allows the cummerbund to have the strength and load bearing of a rigid, structural cummerbund with the speed of doffing and donning of the tubes system. It is compatible with most side armor pouches.

Features:

  • Rigid First Spear Tubes Attachment
  • A strong, low-profile interface
  • MOLLE/PALS on both sides
  • Crye Smart Pouch Suite compatible

We stock the AXL Equinox Cummerbund for use with our ICEPLATE EXO® Gen 3 for those who bought the side strap variant and are looking to upgrade to a structural cummerbund.

It is also compatible with shockcord style cummerbund carriers:

Includes:

  • Left and Right Cummerbund with Female Tubes
  • Shockcord
  • 2x Cummerbund Retainer
  • SPC Tubes Adapters Pair with Male Tubes Buckles

Sizing:

  • S/M cummerbund is 11 MOLLE channels (17.5" long)
  • L/XL cummerbund is 14 MOLLE channels (22" long)
System Total: $ 234.20
