ICEVENTS® Classic Plate Carrier Ventilation Pontoons provide stand-off ventilation and padding against hard body armor inside your plate carrier or under your soft body armor vest for your chest and back. Stand-off ventilation inside your plate carrier or soft body armor vest promotes evaporative cooling (click here to learn more about the different types of cooling/energy transmission) and eliminating hotspots. ICEVENTS® Classic Ventilation Pontoons are the ultimate plate backer.
Say goodbye to heavy, bulky, and crude legacy body armor ventilation made from insulating, absorbing foam and switch to wafer-thin, ultra light, and hydrophobic ICEVENTS®. ICEVENTS® connect directly to the inside of all body armor equipped with body-facing loop fields/pontoon strips like our ICEPLATE EXO® Ultralight Ventilated Plate Carrier. If your carrier is not equipped with internal loop Velcro pontoons like ICEPLATE EXO®, we provide adhesive hook and loop pontoon strips to adhere/sew onto any plate carrier, chest rig or soft armor vest.
ICEVENTS® Classic Plate Carrier Ventilation Pontoons are available in black. They are completely covered by your armor and your body...even if we made these in Coyote Brown, nobody would see your ninja-ness.
***IMPORTANT NOTE: While the adhesive is sufficient for mild applications, like a day at the range, for more strenuous applications like infantry live fires, o-courses, and amphibious operations (OTB, MIO, VBSS) we strongly recommend having your uniform tailor or shoe cobbler professionally sew the Velcro loop strips to the inside of your plate carrier or soft armor vest. IMPORTANT NOTE: All ICEVENTS® Classic products use the same footprint. All ICEVENTS® Aero products use the same footprint. The only difference is the backing (PowerMesh, hook backed, hook-receptive loop backed) and the size (all pads are full size except holster pads which are half size).

Literally beats the Texas heat. I’m sold. Glad I purchased these. Will be getting the shoulder pads and possibly extra for my cummerbund also

It quickly releases the heat generated inside the Vest and lowers the temperature of the body.
Sweat but induce quick drying.
It also halves the uncomfortable feeling of clothes sticking to the body.
This product is recommended as a functional product that helps maintain the same freshness as before wearing it.

Plug and play solution for the SKD FirstSpear STT PC: Comfortable and no modifications needed. Haven't tested long term, but is relatively comfortable compared to the stock plate carrier. Having had good prior experience with Qore products, I can whole heartedly recommend.

As a current Law Enforcement Officer in South Florida, the summer heat and humidity is something that is a daily battle. I had recently purchased the IceVents for my shoulders and the front and back of my outer carrier. The shoulder vents provide great relief for load bearing. The vents for the front and back are barely noticeable and provide the perfect amount of space to allow air flow without being uncomfortable. I would highly recommend these products and I have also just purchased the vent for the Safariland holster as Qore continues to provide quality products.

I was getting some neck/shoulder pain with the original shoulder strap padding. After changing up to Qore Ice Vents I could not believe what a difference it made. I plan to line my tactical belt and heavy entry kit with ice vents as well!

In14yrs of working on the east coast of Australia (currently in Bondi) as a General Duties Sgt, senior weapons trainer & public order & riot specialist, dealing with the heat has been a constant issue. Particularly under my Integrated Light Armour Vest, which I wear at all times, even in the middle of summer!
Six weeks ago I installed IceVent classic pads in my vest and immediately noticed an improvement. It still gets just as hot under the vest, but I’ve noticed the heat is able to dissipate faster. I’ve also noticed my vest isn’t gathering sweat and, as a result, is not smelling and requires laundering less often.
I am considering fitting IceVent pads under the shoulder straps of my vest & will post my feedback on them in the future.

I purchased two sets, one for my JPC shoulder straps and on set for my front plate bag. The set applied to my shoulder straps made a remarkable redistribution of weight for my level 4 plates.
I will be returning the pair for my plate bag because I was not comfortable with adhering the pads directly to the fabric on my carrier.

These create that airgap between your chest and the plate carrier and increases the airflow underneath. The only thing is if you're shirtless it can get uncomfortable, otherwise 5/5.

So long Story Short 3 Crushed Vertebra and my rig was just pushing on 2 of them to the point I had to take it off after 30 mins Got the Pontoons and went from Flat to Curved plates and now I can wear it without Issue
