Internal loop fields on both plate bags allow IMS Pro Gen 3 + ICEPLATE® Gen 3 and ICEVENTS® Pontoons to mount directly to the body-facing side of the plates for internal cooling, heating, hydration, and stand-off ventilation.

The integrated load-bearing wings and cummerbund provide both loop and MOLLE real estate, enabling ICEFLASK™ Wing Holster to mount on the internal loop inside the wings and ICEFLASK™ MOLLE Holster on the cummerbund and wings.

ICEVENTS® Aero and Classic Shoulder Pads to mount directly on the PlateFrame's shoulder pads

The result: multiple thermoregulation and hydration options, inside and out, without compromising the PF-M's structural stability.

Least Comprehensive Integration: T.REX Arms AC1.5

The T.REX Arms AC1.5 integrates well with parts of the IceAge Ecosystem but has limitations compared to the rest of this lineup.

Because it lacks internal Velcro loop fields, the AC1.5 requires CATAMARAN Gen 3 to integrate ICEVENTS® Pontoons and IMS Pro Gen 3 + ICEPLATE® internally. ICEFLASK™ Wing Holster mounts cleanly to the hook-and-loop cummerbund interface on the front plate bag, and ICEVENTS® Aero and Classic Shoulder Pads attach easily to the shoulder straps.

However, the AC1.5 does not support ICEFLASK™ MOLLE Holster out of the box due to limited MOLLE real estate, placing it at the bottom of this lineup for IceAge Ecosystem integration flexibility—especially when compared to the more MOLLE- and loop-rich E-MBAV, SLPC 2.0, and PlateFrame-Modular.

What do these numbers mean?
To interpret the thermal transmittance data correctly, it's important to understand what we're measuring. The smaller the spread between the Initial or Baseline Surface Temperature and the post-test surface reading, the lower the thermal transmittance of that plate bag. Lower thermal transmittance means more heat is being trapped against the body.

Plate carriers with low thermal transmittance readings trap and retain more heat, increasing the likelihood of overheating and heat stress. Plate carriers with a larger thermal shift, meaning a greater spread between baseline and tested temperatures, exhibit higher thermal transmittance. These systems more effectively move heat away from the body, allowing natural thermoregulation to function as intended.
