ICEFLASK®: Wearable Conductive Thermoregulation


ICEFLASK® is a 16.9 fl oz (500 ml) wearable canteen that combines hydration with conductive thermoregulation. Shaped like a PRC-152 radio, it fits NATO-152 pouches and mounts seamlessly to plate carriers. When frozen, it delivers up to 23 watts of cooling; filled with hot water, it provides up to 17 watts of heating.

ICEFLASK® can be filled with water and frozen for conductive cooling or filled with hot water for conductive heating. Its radio-shaped profile allows it to be worn on the body or used as a stackable hydration source in coolers.

Holster tension is user-adjustable to ensure secure retention during dynamic movement while maintaining ease of access. Note: ICEFLASK® Holsters are only sold with bottles and are not available individually.

ICEFLASK® is a multi-purpose wearable canteen designed to deliver hydration, cooling, and heating in a compact, mission-ready package. Its form factor matches the dimensions of a PRC-152 MBITR radio (3" x 10" x 2"), allowing it to fit into any NATO-152 pouch or wing holster. This design solves the "round peg, square hole" problem of traditional cylindrical bottles, allowing users to leverage unused space on their plate carrier for thermoregulation.

ICEFLASK® uses a universal 28-410 thread pattern shared with ICEPLATE® Gen 3 and common Coca-Cola/Dasani caps and accessories. While ICECAP Gen 3 fits on ICEFLASK®, use of ICECAP Gen 3 is not recommended because ICEFLASK® does not have a one-way valve.

Cooling and heating duration are influenced by several factors including solar exposure, ambient temperature, and workload. In extreme conditions, testing has shown a range of 15-45 minutes for cooling and 30-60 minutes for heating. To maximize performance, we recommend keeping units in a cooler until they are needed for deployment.

Yes, spray paint is an effective way to break up the visual signature of the unit for tactical environments. However, be aware that paint may degrade over time due to friction from holsters. We do not recommend painting units that will be used in coolers or in direct contact with food.

ICEFLASK® is not currently rated for independent CBRN use. It is designed for tactical military, law enforcement, and outdoor recreational activities.

Cleaning is simple: use hot water and dish soap, or place it in a dishwasher. It is made from BPA-free, FDA-approved HDPE and is fully dishwasher safe. Always wash and sanitize thoroughly before first use.

ICEFLASK® serves as an environmental inoculation tool. For K9 handlers, it provides a compact way to help prevent heat exhaustion in working dogs. The ICEFLASK® K9 Holster extends the same proven thermoregulation benefits to canines that humans have utilized since 2016.

Eventually we will make different size ICEFLASK® models, but we do not have a timetable for those projects. Right now, we are focused on continuing to scale ICEFLASK® production to meet the incredible demand for the product while enhancing the capabilities of the existing model.
