ICESLEEVES: Advanced Thermoregulation for Extreme Environments
ICESLEEVES deliver targeted thermoregulation using techniques inspired by TCCC protocols for treating heat-related injuries and hypothermia. By cooling or heating pulse points, ICESLEEVES optimize performance, preserve hydration, and support cognitive function in extreme conditions. Rated UPF 50, these high-performance sun sleeves provide a chemical-free alternative to sunscreen.
Cooling
Built-in pockets place ice cubes over the brachial and ulnar/radial arteries (pulse points) to provide conductive cooling by drawing heat from circulating blood. Simultaneously, meltwater spreads across the moisture-wicking, four-way stretch fabric via capillary action, maximizing surface area for powerful evaporative cooling—highly effective for lowering core body temperature in hot, dry climates.
Heating
For warmth, insert single-use hand warmers (sold separately) into the same pockets. Based on TCCC hypothermia protocols, this method warms arterial blood flow from the inside out without compromising mobility.
