The last Safety Vest you will ever have to buy

Built from an incredibly durable, yet lightweight structural mesh, ICEVEST HiVis Cooling/Heating/Hydration Safety Vest (Class 2) is so breathable, it makes for a perfect year-round, all-climate Class 2 high visibility safety vest solution. For Drinkable Packages, organically integrated drink tube routing allows users the option of drinking water from their ICEPLATE® Curves as the ice melts. This is ideal for temperate days when supplemental cooling/heating are not required, and is easy on the budget too.

Origins

The science behind ICEPLATE® Curve comes from more than two decades of research conducted by Stanford University, the US Army, USASOC, and the CDC on the effects of cooling on metabolic capacity, recovery, and heat injury prevention under PPE/MOPP and in athletics. [ How Class 2 Safety Vests Differ from Class 1 and Class 3 Vests ]

Understanding the differences between Class 1, Class 2, and Class 3 safety vests is crucial for selecting the most appropriate high-visibility safety apparel for your work environment. ANSI class guidelines categorize these vests based on the level of risk and exposure in a given job site.

Class 1 vests are suitable for environments with minimal traffic and slow-moving vehicles, where workers can easily divert their attention to avoid any hazards. These vests usually have a minimum of reflective material and may not meet the strict requirements of square inches of retroreflective material required for higher-risk environments.

On the other end of the spectrum, Class 3 vests are designed for high-risk scenarios like high-speed roadways or potentially dangerous weather conditions. They cover a larger area of the body and usually incorporate sleeves, providing the maximum amount of reflective material and visibility.

Enter Our ICEVEST HiVis Class 2 Safety Vest

Our ICEVEST HiVis Class 2 Safety Vests bridge the gap between these extremes. Class 2 vests are ideal for environments that involve greater vehicle speed and higher traffic volume compared to Class 1, but not as extreme as conditions requiring a Class 3 vest. They have more reflective tape and retroreflective material than Class 1 vests, fulfilling a higher visibility threshold value. This makes them perfect for construction workers, utility workers, emergency responders, and much more due to their high visibility and diverse functionality.

Benefits of a Class 2 Safety Vest

When it comes to personal protective equipment, a Class 2 safety vest is more than just a reflective piece of safety clothing — it's an essential tool that amplifies visibility and safeguards workers in various conditions. This ANSI class safety vest is designed to meet stringent American National Standards Institute (ANSI) guidelines, ensuring that you get the highest level of protection, particularly when it comes to high-volume parking lots, construction sites, and job sites where heavy machinery is in use.

Constructed with retroreflective material and silver reflective tape, the Class 2 safety vest allows construction workers, utility workers, and emergency responders to remain conspicuous, even in low light conditions or inclement weather conditions. The reflective stripe and fluorescent material significantly enhance visibility, adhering to the transparency threshold and threshold value standards set by ANSI.

Utility workers, construction workers, railway workers, and forest workers all benefit from Class 2 vests that come with a toolbelt with pockets. These pockets are designed to accommodate all the essential equipment you might need throughout your workday. From flashlights to notebooks and even small tools, these pockets have got you covered.

Why Choose Our ICEVEST HiVis Cooling/Heating/Hydration Safety Vest Class 2?

When it comes to safety vests, the ICEVEST HiVis Class 2 sets itself apart from other high-visibility safety apparel. The vest not only meets the ANSI class standards for visibility with its heavy-duty reflective tape and retroreflective material but also integrates groundbreaking technology—ICEPLATE Curve. This provides you with both conductive cooling/heating capabilities and integrated hydration, features seldom found in standard Class 2 vests.

Whether you are at a high-traffic construction site or working as an emergency responder, our safety vest ensures that you stay visible, hydrated, and comfortable in any weather conditions. With the unique ability to insert the ICEPLATE Curve, you can stay hydrated and regulate your body temperature, making this vest the go-to heat injury prevention tool. Since its launch in 2017, ICEPLATE Curve technology has clocked nearly 5,000,000 man-hours without a single heat injury, proving its effectiveness and reliability.

In addition to boosting effectiveness and reliability, our vests also improve productivity. This is due to the reduced need to break for water or to get out of the sun in order to regulate body temperature. It also will keep your workers happy, which naturally increases their individual productivity. Our class 2 safety vest will eliminate many issues that are detrimental to productivity in the workplace.

Moreover, our vests come with a selection of class options, additional features, and logo personalization, allowing for a highly customized experience based on your specific needs. These factors combined make the ICEVEST HiVis Cooling/Heating/Hydration Safety Vest Class 2 not just another piece of safety equipment—it's a revolutionary tool that brings hydration and thermal regulation to the forefront, redefining what a Class 2 safety vest can do for you.

Game changer

Now for reference I work construction and currently it’s been 100°+ for weeks. The ice plates last about 3 hours- 3.5 hours.
Make no mistake I am 5’7” and 130 but this vest is HUGE. Comfort is great and I hemmed up the vest to fit (really easy to do with fishing line through the netting). I would buy an extra set of plates, expensive but worth it.

I need more of these for my employees!!

This ice vest has been worth every penny. With plates that last up to and sometimes over 3.5 hours in the AZ heat, I never thought I would go home from 115 degrees outside with a cold rash. I am the pilot program at my job location to get the other employees these vests, and I can assure you I will certainly be buying more vests.

Amazing innovation for a super human future.

I wish I would have know how awesome this was. I work outside all day in the eliments. It keeps me cool and carries everything I need it to. I wish I would have purchased this two years ago.
I love this vest. I have it set up to carry a small chest rig with the following: 1 radio 2 first aid kit 3 sun block 4 patch space. I feel this vest works better then intended. I recommend this vest to every single one of my coworkers and to random people on the internet (that includes you) I feel this vest has increased my productivity. I also feel in has increased my safety.
The ice plates last about 4 to 5 hours for myself personally. I recommend buying a second set of plates and changing them out on your lunch break.

I do have some minor things I would love to see in a updated version. More velcro space everywhere. I find it hard to attach a placard with minimal velcro on the front. I would love more velcro on the back for a large agency patch. I also believe the cummerbund is a bit narrow for my personal liking.

I stand behind this product and will definitely buy a updated version if they decide to make one.

Again I highly recommend this product if you work in any reflective vest industry.

Worked like a charm!

Used the high visibility vest with front and back ice plates during the recent heatwave here in Washington. Temperatures got up over 112 degrees over multiple days. Had the drink tubes hooked up as well but didn't drink much from the plates to prolong the cooling effect after the ice had melted. Was able to stay comfortable for several hours and re-freeze the plates each night for the next day. Worked like a charm, wish we had these in Iraq!
