Powerful Cooling for Professional Working Dogs
ICEFLASK™ K9 Holster adapts our proven ICEFLASK™ thermoregulation technology for man’s best friend by integrating dual ICEFLASK™ units into a purpose-built post-mission recovery system for working dogs. Using two standard ICEFLASK™ reservoirs filled with regular drinking water and then frozen, the system delivers 46 watts of conductive cooling or 34 watts of conductive heating directly to the dog’s body via thermal conduction during administrative recovery periods.
With a combined capacity of 33.8oz / 1000ml, the dual ICEFLASK™ configuration provides powerful thermoregulation immediately following work. Once the ice has melted, the same drinking water can then be decanted and used as hydration for the K9 during recovery, ensuring the system serves both cooling and rehydration functions after the mission is complete.
Developed in collaboration with an elite U.S. Federal Agency and currently available via government / agency contract only, ICEFLASK™ K9 Holster is designed explicitly as a post-mission administrative cooling tool and is not worn during active operations, patrols, or engagements. After intense activity, the ICEFLASK™ K9 Holster is mounted to the K9 Tactical Gear Aluminum Defender Harness with ID Panels (currently the only compatible K9 Harness) using existing loop fields on the upper torso and cinched securely against the dog’s body using the included Holster strap. The frozen ICEFLASK™ canteens function as an efficient heat sink, enabling rapid off-loading of excess metabolic heat, reducing heat stress, and shortening required recovery intervals between taskings.
Beyond performance, the ICEFLASK™ K9 Holster helps protect the substantial investment associated with training and deploying professional working dogs—maximizing readiness and availability while providing a durable, reusable recovery solution for handlers and organizations.

IMPORTANT NOTES/FAQ:1. ICEFLASK™ K9 Holster is only sold with ICEFLASK™ water bottles. ICEFLASK™ K9 Holster is not sold individually. Pictured Black K9 Tactical Gear vest is NOT included.
2. Wash and sanitize ICEFLASK™ thoroughly in a dishwasher or with hot, soapy water before first use
3. ICEFLASK™ only works as designed if you insert it in to the ICEFLASK™ K9 Holster, Wing or MOLLE Holster the correct way. The insert will slip out if inserted incorrectly. See the ICEFLASK™ Instruction Video below and on our INSTRUCTIONS page for detailed guidance on the correct insert orientation. The ICEFLASK™ Holsters also have eyelets for supplemental lashing if for some reason you need more mechanical retention than the Friction Locking System provides.

5. We recommend cooler storage prior to and after administrative cooling to maintain maximum cooling capability upon deployment. The thermoregulation duration ICEFLASK™ provides is dependent on certain key external variables: solar exposure, ambient temp, external heat sources (i.e. engines), relative humidity, size/frame of user, metabolic capacity, and work load. Our in-house testing in a number of differing climates and conditions to include Death Valley has resulted in a duration range of 15-45 minutes for cooling and 30-60 minutes for heating but again, the aforementioned external variables still apply and results may vary.
6. ICEFLASK™ K9 Holster, MOLLE Holster and ICEFLASK™ Wing Holster are manufactured from Brookwood Squadron® B52 which is IR compliant. Details can be found on their website linked here.

Can I paint ICEFLASK™?
Absolutely! Rattlecan / spray paint is a great method to break up the shape of crucial equipment. Please note that most paint jobs will degrade over time due to the friction based ICEFLASK™ Wing Holster, but this is true of any equipment that sees serious field use. We do not recommend painting ICEFLASKS™ being used for cooler use. You can watch our video on painting equipment above in the video section of this page.
