How to clean ICEPLATE® Gen 3 and ICECAP Gen 3

Included with the all new ICEPLATE® Gen 3 and with purchase of drinkable versions of ICEPLATE® Curve as of June 2025, the all-new ICECAP Gen 3 features a monolithic chassis and an all-new QD Collar to prevent accidental activation of the QD button. ICECAP Gen 3 is built to the 28-410 thread standard, with the added benefit of an organically integrated universal Quick Disconnect that accepts most hydration tubes like those from CamelBak and Source Tactical (click here for hose compatibility). While this universal compatibility is a fantastic feature, ICECAP Gen 3 is designed to work best with our Source 90 Drink Tube (now standard on all ICEPLATE® Gen 3 and IMS Pro Gen 3 Combo purchases) to preserve flow rate and prevent kinking.
ICECAP Gen 3 allows ICEPLATE® Gen 3 to be stored with incredible efficiency and density while being ready to deploy in seconds. Grab your ICEPLATE® Gen 3, replace your Freezer Cap with ICECAP Gen 3, click in your favorite drink tube and you are good to go.

The real magic of ICECAP Gen 3 is that it will also work with most plastic Coca-Cola and Dasani bottles. If you deplete your ICEPLATE® Gen 3 water stores completely, secure your ICECAP and hydration tube to your 28-410 thread standard bottle and you are in business: instant, field-expedient back-up hydration system.
Note: ICECAP Gen 3 is designed for use with ICEPLATE® Gen 3 and ICEPLATE® Curve. It will not work with ICEPLATE® Classic due to the lack of 28-410 threads or ICEFLASK™ due to the lack of a One Way Valve.
