CamelBak Crux Insulated Tube ✔️

CamelBak Crux Insulated Tube

This insulated tube offers 20% more water per sip than previous tubes.  Great news.  The male component of the CamelBak Crux Insulated Tube snaps directly into the female component of the ICEPLATE® Quick Disconnect.

CamelBak HydroLink Tube Kit

CamelBak HydroLink Replacement Tube

Well, all streaks come to an end, and the CamelBak HydroLink Tube broke ours!  As you may notice on the above tube, there is a female adapter connected to the bottom of the tube.  This poses a problem for the ICEPLATE® Quick Disconnect because this adapter will be trying to connect to the female adapter at the base of the ICEPLATE®.

Female Quick Disconnect Component

This is where we tried a hack.  We disconnected the female component on the ICEPLATE® and replaced it with the male component from the corresponding tube.

Male Quick Disconnect Component

Then we tested to see if we could snap the HydroLink into place.  Unfortunately, it did not seal tightly and water began to leak.

CamelBak Mil Spec Antidote Replacement Tube ✔️

CamelBak Mil Spec Antidote Replacement Tube

The CamelBak Mil Spec Antidote Replacement Tube is another insulated option that is fully compatible with the ICEPLATE® Quick Disconnect system.

HydraPak ArcticFusion Tube Kit ✔️

ArcticFusion Tube Kit

HydraPak Arctic Fusion Tubes claim to keep water flowing in freezing temperatures and offer 50% more foam insulation than other brands.  The male component on the HydraPak Arctic Fusion Tube is also compatible with the ICEPLATE® Quick Disconnect female component. This tube could be an excellent complement to a warm water-filled ICEPLATE® in the winter months.  Time to mix and match.

HydraPak Hydrant Tube Kit ✔️

The Hydrant Tube Kit is a hands-free pressurized hydration system, equipped with an easy-to-use squeeze bulb that sprays water at your command.  The Hydrant Tube Kit snaps easily into the ICEPLATE® Quick Disconnect System.

Osprey Hydration Accessory Bite Valve ✔️

Osprey Hydration Accessory Bite Valve

Osprey makes a series of products that can be used in conjunction with your current ICEPLATE® tube.  The Hydration Accessory Bite Valve boasts a “bombproof ¼ inch twist shut-off design.” It can easily be inserted into your current ICEPLATE® tube and replace your normal-use bite valve.

Osprey Hydration Accessory Hose Magnet ✔️

Osprey Hydration Accessory Hose Magnet

The Osprey Hydration Accessory Host Magnet easily slips onto the ICEPLATE® tube.  This Magnet Kit allows you to secure your hose to metal straps on your pack. This may come in handy if you are using your ICEPLATE® in conjunction with your current backpack or pack.

Osprey Hydration Accessory Quick Disconnect Kit ✔️

Osprey Hydration Accessory QuickConnect Kit

Osprey Hydration Accessory Quick Disconnect Kit is a reasonable option for upgrading your ICEPLATE® to have a Quick Disconnect feature.

Osprey QuickConnect KIt IcePlate Compatibiltiy

Both the male and female components on both the Osprey Disconnect Kit and the ICEPLATE® Quick Disconnect are compatible.

Platypus Cleaning Kit ✔️

Platypus Cleaning KIt

This cleaning kit falls into the “sort of compatible" box.  The larger brush is too wide to insert into the mouth of the ICEPLATE® (but could be used to scrub the outer portion and components). The thinner Tube Brush is a great solution for cleaning out your tube.

Sawyer Fast Fill Adapters for Hydration Packs ✔️

Sawyer Fast Fill Adapters Hydration Packs

These Fast Fill Adapters actually include a quick disconnect conversion kit for your tube.  Sawyer recommends cutting your tube relatively close to the bite valve and attaching their version of the quick disconnect.

Sawyer Fast Fill Adapters Hydration Packs IcePlate

The blue Adapter (see picture) snaps into the female component and allows you to easily screw on Sawyer’s filtration systems (check out this great video on how to use these products).  The great news for our ICEPLATE® users is that the male component of the Adapter snaps directly into the female ICEPLATE® Quick Disconnect piece as well.  Filtration never got easier.

Sawyer MINI Water Filtration System ✔️

Sawyer MINI Water Filtration System

Piggy-backing on #3, The Sawyer MINI Water Filtration System is easily inserted into the ICEPLATE® tube.  In this instance, it does not connect directly with the Quick Disconnect system but is placed directly into the tube.  In order to filter water flowing directly from the ICEPLATE®, cut the tube relatively close to the bite valve.  Run your tube under warm water to increase pliability or use sanitized wire pliers to stretch the tube.  After the tube is stretched, the Filtration System can be pushed into place, connecting the tube back together.  The Filtration Tube fits snugly into the ICEPLATE® tubing.

Source Convertube ✔️
The Convertube Water Bottle Adapter screws on to (almost) any water bottle and turns it into a hydration system.  The Convertube does not screw onto the cap of the ICEPLATE®.
Source Replacement Tube ✔️

Source Replacement Tube

Source Tubes, with their insulated UV-block weave cover, continue to be extremely popular.  The great news is that the above Source Tube is completely compatible with the ICEPLATE® Quick Disconnect.  The male end of the Source Tube snaps securely into the female component of the ICEPLATE® Quick Disconnect. Once installed, you can easily connect your Source Tube of choice. (Note: Source Tube shown here with Source Universal Tube Adapter, a great resource for filling your ICEPLATE® while wearing it.  See Source video for more information).

Source Universal Tube Adapter ✔️
Source Universal Tube Adapter
The Source Universal Tube Adapter (UTA) can snap directly into the female component of the ICEPLATE® Quick Disconnect.  This product allows you to fill your ICEPLATE® with water directly from the tube.
At Qore Performance®, we typically install the Quick Disconnect toward the base of the tube, which can make it cumbersome to snap the UTA in and out without taking the ICEPLATE® off your back.  In this case, we recommend using the UTA with the Source Replacement Tube (see #2).  This unified system can snap directly into the ICEPLATE® Quick Disconnect, simplifying filling the ICEPLATE® on the go.

Source Winter Tube Kit ✔️
Source's Winter Tube Kit comes with an insulated tube cover that is compatible with ICEPLATE® Quick Disconnect System.

SportsTrail Insulated Tube ✔️

SportsTrail Insulated Tube

The SportsTrail Insulated Tube claims to provide taste free water and top insulation.  This tube is also compatible with the ICEPLATE® Quick Disconnect feature.

    Hi ESC,
Thank you for bringing that to our attention! We probably need to shoot an updated video using IcePlate Curve, IceCap and our Source 90 Drink Tubes. Thank you for the reminder!

The Osprey bite valve is not compatible with the newest version of the IcePlate tube. I purchased it as a replacement and it does not fit the same size quick disconnect that comes with the IcePlate. You would have to cut your tube and fit it in making it now longer a quick disconnect

Yknow, I gotta give you a lot of props for writing this long of an article about compatibility. It’s really quite enlightening for someone just getting started on tactical hydration. There’s a lot to take in here.
