I bought 6 Ice Plates due to always being hot and sweaty in uniform with tac vest and wanting to always have one ready when the other melts. They work great as expected but as the day goes on they get a little uncomfortable on the back if sitting for a while. I also do 4 hours of tactical training once a week and it helps out tremendously. I get about 5 1/2 hours out of a set going in and out of climate controlled buildings in the hot Florida heat. A lot of my buddies are in the process of getting theirs to help with the heat. You still get hot in the Florida humidity but it keeps your core cool and manageable. You will actually get cold if you sit inside ac for over 2 hours and I could not wait to go outside to warm up. Not a bad investment and would advise you to go ahead and bite the bullet and quit suffering. I spoke to Doug personally and he assisted me on my order and gives law enforcement discounts. Great guy and really went out of his way to get my order to me quickly. Great company. Be safe guys and gals.
It's a great item to have but I don't like the cap I think that the ice plate should come with a keeper that ties the cap to the ice plate so it doesn't get lost when filling. Another thing I wish you guys would make a funnel that is collapsible so that filling would be easier.
So the ice plates work as advertised except they’re super uncomfortable wearing under a plate carrier.
Great concept, maybe the iceplate3 product is more comfortable.
Customer service is great though.
This along with the molle carrier Qore sells has worked great on my Crye AVS (small) platebags.
It carries enough water to balance out the carrier when fully loaded out.
The only quirk I have found is that when i drink from it, it creates a vaccuum that I have to relieve by either blowing air through the tube or open the cap. Not a deal breaker, but just a quirk to be aware of since it is a rigid reservoir design.
a little over a year ago I took out the standard ice plate and thought it was a nice comfort in the hot summer heat here in Texas, well I decided it was time for an upgrade and see what the top of the line iceplate could do. I was not let down one bit, coupled with the comfort sleeve it was a perfect pair and super discreet for what I needed it to do. Iceplate knocks it out of the park yet again and I look forward to #stayfrosty the rest of the summer.
