This package gives you two ICEPLATE® Curves, one in front and one in back - with both exit ports for hydration on the same side. With the quick-disconnect ICECAP, this makes it extremely easy to swap the drink tube once you've consumed all the water in one IcePlate® Curve. This configuration gives you a total of 100oz (3 L) of water/140 watts of cooling power/104 watts of heating power.
Note: Effective May 2023, the Side-Release Armor Straps are discontinued and no longer included with each ICEPLATE® Curve (see below under "What's Included"). Per customer request, the Side Release Armor Strap functionality has been replaced by selecting an optional IMS, IMS Pro or IMS VERSA (sold separately under the "Choose a Chassis" section above or in Combos here) IMS, IMS Pro, or IMS VERSA deliver the optimal experience we always envisioned when running ICEPLATE® Curve with a plate carrier. Note: Side Release Armor Straps can interfere with the One-Way Valve in rare circumstances. As such, they are ideal for light-duty applications like RSO, static security, etc. For hard-duty Military and Law Enforcement applications, we only recommend running ICEPLATE Curve with an IMS or IMS Pro.

Purchased these before a long field op in Louisiana, needed as much water as I could carry. These served really well for a few days, only issue was that I could do better if I had two hoses so I could save time from having to unscrew and swap my single hose between the two plates. Probably should look into bringing some kind of compact/collapsable funnel so I could refill it faster and easier when I'm outside.
Now for the real problem. The threaded mount on the mouth of the plate that the cap screws onto is not a reliable seal. Unfortunately, after a few days of moving, rucking, crawling, and laying prone, the plate started to leak from the mouth. Now, I have to find that sweet spot to tighten the plastic cap on, too tight or too loose and it'll leak again and I'll lose a third of my water. Even with it screwed properly, enough pressure one way or the other will cause it to leak again between the cap and the mouth.
I still like what Qore has accomplished so far with these plates, but the threaded mouth needs to be improved. Maybe reinforcing the cap and mouth with metal or rubber components to withstand some added pressure, because that is its weakest point so far. I can't use these plates effectively now because of this.
Looking forward to seeing if they improve the design, I may buy again if they do!

I bought a pair of IcePlate curves to use in my 5.11 plate carrier for a little added weight when filled with water not expecting to utterly enjoy the cooling benefits when frozen. Justin had warned me that I wouldn’t get the full benefits of the thermoregulation due to the internal pads of the carrier so i simply took em out with a seam ripper and man has it been a game changer running with the frozen IcePlates and working out in the yard in 95+ weather. https://i.imgur.com/BfRZKUv.jpg
The plates are nice and I like the idea but the mount falls drastically short. I have the agilite k19 and when I attached the core firstly it was way to thick with my 2 ceramic plates and 2 water tanks getting in a car or functioning was super sloppy but that’s understandable and I can over look it. But the Velcro attachment is super annoying it digs in to my back or neck as a result I end up pulling them off and running a regular Bladder. Some fabrics wrap or a different attachment method would be awesome I have considered tieing 550 cord but why? It has to be obvious that this a crappy attachment method, why wouldn’t it be addressed? A long flap that can be fed up to the molly on the outside of my Carrier seems like an easy idea but with a day Of thought I’m sure something could be brought to the table. It just seems like too much effort was applied to this system to let such a dumb thing hold it back. I may just be picky but if it were my brain child I can’t fathom shipping this out and throwing two 0.10 cent Velcro straps for attachment in the box for the customer and not feeling kinda guilty. I’ll definitely figure something nice out to mount them up some day.

While we are sorry to hear you have not had a great experience with your Side Release Armor Straps, the great news is that we have already addressed and solved all of your concerns! It sounds like we didn't do a good enough job of presenting those to you, and for this we apologize.

Regarding your suggestion for a sleeve: problem solved. We already offer a variety of mounting sleeves with every combination of MOLLE (permanent and detachable), Velcro-brand Hook, and Velcro-brand Loop for universal mounting compatibility. Regarding wear profile, a two IcePlate Curve (front and back) setup is generally a configuration best suited for Safety, HAZMAT, CBRNE, Fitness or EOD type applications using one of our safety vests like IceVest HiVis Class 2 or IceVet Black. When wearing armor for infantry/patrol type applications, we recommend wearing a single IcePlate on the back. I just started playing airsoft and I sweat very easily. I replaced the foam boards in my plate carrier with the Qore Performance Ice Plates and they've helped me stay cool. And a huge bonus, as the ice melts, I have drinking water. I don't have to carry a separate water bottle strapped to my side. These are worth their weight in gold!
