EDC Travel Sling by Qore Performance for walking, hiking, travel, every day carry, bike riding can carry a Taser Pulse, Glock 43, Sig Sauer P365, or Pepper Spray, hand-free hydration

THIS PRODUCT HAS BEEN PERMANENTLY DISCONTINUED AS OF DEC 2023 AND WILL NOT BE REPLACED.

Born in the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee, the EDC Travel Sling sits between a backpack, messenger bag, and fanny pack. We created the EDC Travel Sling for the active luxury lifestyle individual who needs something smaller than a daypack/backpack, knows a fanny pack is a great way to get served with divorce papers, wants to carry the bare essentials comfortably, and needs the ability to go from day on the trail to night on the town without skipping a beat.
The front pouch, constructed of waterproof X-Pac VX21 for excellent splash/weather resistance (note: The EDC Travel Sling is not waterproof), holds large every day and travel essentials like an iPhone 12 Pro MAX and a wallet/card case (Silent Pocket Simple Card Wallet shown) in an ultra-slim end-to-end orientation. For smaller essentials like hotel room keys, credit cards, driver's license, car keys, lip balm or AirPods, two hook Velcro-backed Utility Pockets are included. These Utility Pockets can be affixed to the Veltex inner liner mounted to the inside of the front pouch, opposite the phone/wallet holder. A single IceVents® Classic Ventilation Pontoon provides incredibly comfortable stand-off ventilation for every adventure and connects to the front pouch via the laser-cut loop Velcro MOLLE field. The cross-body configuration is comfortable enough for long hikes, but secure enough for even strenuous backcountry adventures.

While primarily designed with everyday carry and light adventure travel in mind, the EDC Travel Sling is a self-defense tour de force, liberating users from the constraints of their environment. The front pouch features an open top load for easy access to an EDC knife and/or flashlight. A Taser Pulse or G43/P365 fit snugly in the iPhone slot. Discreetly placed along the bottom of the front pouch are three elastic keepers that can hold a single stick like a Breachpen, road flare, pepper spray, flashlight, or chem lights. The bottom of the front pouch conceals a quick-access holster for our EDC Coin Purse (optional) that keeps it accessible instantly without opening the front pouch.

I wore your travel sling all week hitting Disney and universal studios. It was perfect to holding the minimum required, phone, cards, sunglasses, butt wipes, and a Dynamis alliance non ferrous knife (hidden between the pad and the front pack). As with your other products it is 100% what I needed. Didn’t feel hot or heavy, was comfortable all day. As usual your products have exceeded expectations and all performance standards.

Perfect for carrying stuff in hot weather

I was looking for something less substantial than a messenger bag or backpack but still enough to carry keys, wallet, phone, small Streamlight flashlight, lightweight pullover and my EDC stuff (Glock 43, Qore coin purse, knife). It’s just the right size for all of these items and still fit a water bottle - even my Nalgene bottle will fit (but just barely). I’ve even used it overseas. It’s a perfect form of Euroflage (sorry Qore - meant as a compliment). There are so many people carrying fanny packs or something similar slung across their bodies that Qore’s sling blends right in.

The construction quality is everything you’d expect from Qore. I know another reviewer took issue with both the construction and the price, but I didn’t have issue with either. Every Qore item I own (and I own most of their products) is perfect. And I know that if I ever have an issue with the product, they’ll do whatever it takes to make things right. Regarding the price, I’ve manufactured both hard goods and soft goods - there are enough small details and other aspects of construction that I’m surprised that it doesn’t cost more.

Thanks Qore for another great product. Now if we just knew the purpose PALS/MOLLE on the inside of the sling. You guys don’t do stuff like that without a reason….

EDC Travel Sling

I have had the EDC Travel Sling for a while now. I was originally going to use the sling for travel. I recently started using it for concealed carry. I am able to fit my Sig P365 with a 12 round magazine and 3 extra magazines inside the sling perfectly. I also carry my Trayvax card holder and my truck key fob. The whole setup works great and nobody suspects you are carrying a firearm in the sling. The sling works great when you have clothing on that doesn't require a belt. You can throw this over your shoulder and still have everything within arms distance.

Happy with my EDC travel sling

I was looking for a small travel pouch that didn't identify me as some sort of airsoft ninja and kept a "grey man" appearance. I was glad to find this little gem from Qore Performance.

So what makes this sling pouch different from the other EDC offerings out there? First, it is not made from some sort of easily identified ballistic nylon in a drab military color with all kinds of molle straps on it. Second,it is extremely handy and hold just enough items for a day hike through the forest or through a city. Third, It is damn near indestructible. Fourth, it is made by a company that stands behind their products and realizes that customer satisfaction is a primary goal of the company.

When I first received the bag, I was skeptical about the size. How will I fit all my EDC gear and secondly, how will it fit my "dad bod"? Well, to answer the first question, i had to review what gear do I need to carry? I usually run around with a nondescript backpack that I over pack with nice to have items that I never use. Once I realized what I really needed to carry and what I didn't need, it became easier to pack the smaller sling bag. I used it for a day hike and was able to carry the essentials without overburdening myself.

Did I mention how tough this thing is? The strap and hidden molle material is like the stuff they use for expensive dry bags used by divers. Not sure what to call it except tough. The bags themself are made of some "diamond" weave ripstop material that seems to be abrasion resistant and not at all tactical looking.

I read the previous review (I was hoping to be the first) and had to look at my bag to see what he meant. I was really concerned after his comments and wanted to see if I was going to have problems with my product. I am not trying to bash the previous reviewer but I will share my view of his comments. Everyone is allowed an opinion and they are based on their experiences. Hopefully you will look at my review as constructive and not bashing and trashing a company.

Yes, it has single stitching on some of the seams. That said, it is some serious thread and all my stitches are tight and have been doubled back over to ensure they do not unravel. On mine, there is double stitching on the seams I would consider critical. When you double stitch a bag using that typical military 1/4 inch offset stitching, you add excess material. I don't think I am going to get this bag to rip at the stitching considering the bag material and the type of thread used.

Remember the backpack I mentioned using prior to the travel sling? It has the exact same single stitching as the travel sling but with cheaper zippers and cheaper thread. I consider my backpack bulletproof and the travel sling is tougher than that.

I was still concerned about this single stitching complaint and dug out a few of my issued items from a previous life to see how they are made. Guess what? all single stitched. Now I am not going to drop names but they are all brands that tacticool folks wear and carry. Brand names that start with "5" and "V" and "O" and "M" to name a few. Seeing single stitches on these other mass produced, OCONUS built products reassured me that this US MADE product meets high standards.

On to the water bottle adapter. I don't use the tube adapter but the website says that the bottle adapter will also work with most plastic Coca-Cola and Dasani bottles. it also fits any standard 28-410 threaded bottle. Instead of looking for Dasani, I found that my Nalgene bottle fits just fine in the back bag, which worked well on my trip to Italy with the bag.

Ahh Italy, where every guy is carrying a sling bag or man purse. Guess what? This bag worked awesome in the European culture. No one even noticed it. I wasn't able to carry all the EDC things I normally do back home, but I had ALL my valuables secured in my little cross body travel safe. No worrying about pick pockets or little gypsy rugrats that swarm you like I found in France and Albania. I was prepared this time and the travel sling did not let me down.

I tried to figure out what was meant by "slice your neck" and after some playing with the bag, I found if the aerovent or Icevent as the company calls them is not lined up properly the hook side of the velcro may poke you. I just adjusted it properly and that problem disappeared. I never had the problem and only figured out what he meant when I removed the pad and didn't put it back on correctly.

I guess I could go on and on about this product but I think you have to experience it for yourself. I find it to be just the right size for minimal required gear and not something that an experienced observer is going to recognize as a concealment pouch for a firearm.

Neat design, needs work, should be about $30.

Really neat design, ok materials, questionable craftsmanship.

I was really excited for this product.

I carry it a lot. But I don't think it's going to last long, especially at this price point.

The first one I got, the "pen" elastic ripped right out at the single stitch (important theme) when I attempted to, slide a pen in it. Qore replaced the unit immediately at no cost.

The loop sections of velcro on the exterior of the unit, closest to your body will slice your neck when donning/doffing. For a premium product, I expect minimal material overhang, and attention to detail with any part that will come into contact with your body. I cut the overhang, and melted it with a lighter to remove the sharp edge.

The aerovents themselves seemed to be sharpened when they come out of production. They really need to consider simply going around the edges with a heat gun. This is done all the time in other industries.

The front-pocket-interior-elastic-band for holding your phone in, is single stitched and is already unraveling. The only things I used the "cell phone" elastic band was for holding a cloth mask folded in half in one section, and 6 credit cards with my Vax card in the other. Soon I will have a tensionless band that won't hold anything.

Make sure Dasani is distributed in your area, or the water bottle adapter is useless.

The card holders that are included " upcycled" from production scraps and it shows. You only get two, and they hold about 3 cards, very tightly.

Once I have my Note 20 phone, mask, cards, and some cash in it, I'm not able to fit my car and house clickers.

I like they coin purse holster, but if you carry the coin purse in it, it bulges into the interior of the front pouch, and you lose even more storage space.

The back pouch needs to be slightly bigger, then you may be able to fit a rolled up base layer or non-packable wind breaker.

I feel like I bought the hype, and recieved an overpriced, Chinese product in alpha testing.

I hope further iterations get better or is priced to reflect lower craftsmanship so I can afford extras. It's really convenient.

We never designed the EDC Travel Sling to carry a 'VAX card.'
