Plate Carrier Hydration and Body Armor Cooling, Heating: What is the difference between IMS, IMS VERSA and IMS Pro?

IMS (external mounting only) is for externally mounted, hard cell plate carrier hydration only. While IMS does not have conductive cooling/heating capability, it is the flattest, thinnest, and strongest external plate carrier hydration ever built. It is ideal for end-users conducting operations where repeated ingress/egress to/from vehicles (e.g., mounted patrols) or maneuvering in tight spaces (e.g., CQB, VBSS, etc.) in full kit is required.

 IMS Versa (internal mounting only) is a versatile solution that brings internal ICEPLATE Curve mounting to every MOLLE-equipped plate carrier on the market. It is designed to be compatible with plate carriers that lack the internal loop Velcro fields, such as our ICEPLATE EXO®, Crye Precision AVS, or Shaw Concepts ARC Carrier V2. The elegantly designed ladder of laser-cut split bar mounts on either side of the sleeve gives the VERSA its namesake, allowing it to mount an ICEPLATE Curve to any MOLLE-equipped carrier.

 IMS Pro (internal or external mounting) entirely takes advantage of the powerful conductive cooling, heating, and hydration capabilities of ICEPLATE® Curve. It can be mounted inside or outside your plate carrier and is fully optimized for ICEPLATE EXO® and ICEPLATE® Curve. IMS Pro is built from our hydrophobic ICEPLATE EXO® laminate, with complete drainage organically integrated into the design, making it ideal for maritime operations.
