We recently came across an old Active Shooter Sling issued over a decade ago. It was simple, but effective: a single asymmetric sling with the ability to carry four AR mags in flapped pouches flanked by a pair of flapped pistol mag pouches. A classic design with fixed payload positions and emblematic of the early 2000s. Today, we want to carry different payloads. We need the option to carry a variety of items and move placard load outs between platforms to fit different environments.

In our ICEPLATE EXO® MOLLE Placard we saw the basic foundation for a more effective, versatile, and contemporary solution. All we needed to do was create a simple pair of straps that could live with the ICEPLATE EXO MOLLE Placard all the time, whether on your ICEPLATE EXO® or not. If you just need the essentials, you could run the top sling only and carry three rifle mags. If you need to plus up, simply remove the sling strap(s) and attach the placard to your chest rig or plate carrier. The RAPID ASSAULT SLING is also perfect for motorcycle riders who want to carry concealed under their jacket, especially when paired with our ICEPLATE EXO®-CRH for conductive cooling/heating/hydration for a more comfortable ride.
