Increased Load Bearing Capacity
|Loads are absorbed and dispersed evenly throughout the honeycomb matrix of IceVents. Because the cells are interconnected, when one cell buckles from impact, the walls of the adjacent cells also buckle to absorb the force, similar to a ripple effect. The fusion-bonded honeycomb in Stimulite absorbs shock in this manner and also has phenomenal load-bearing and load-balancing capability as a result of its elastomeric composition.|

If you’re like me and have big hips then you probably get some sore spots on your hips from all the gear you wear. I had a real bad sore where my holster rubbed my hip all the time. Now that I have the ice vents no more sores and my duty belt has never been more comfortable.
In armored transport I need something that provides comfort to stay protected all day. My plate carrier with level IV plates, was tolerable for roughly 4 hours, after putting IceVents on the shoulder straps I wear my carrier for 10 sometimes 12 hours straight in comfort, they actually work! I just really wish my carrier would allow me to run the vents as air flow pontoons.
I’ve seen the icevents for quite a while and I’ve heard great reviews but I wasn’t sure. My department wears Class A uniforms and a leather buckleless belt....definitely not the most comfortable. I had reached my breaking point when I started experiencing a gradually more intense warm sensation in my lower spine. I changed my uniform belts, moved gear on my duty belt but the pain and heat stayed. I reached out to Justin, advised him of my issue and finally ordered the vents. I’ve been wearing the vents for about a week and it’s a vast improvement from where I was. Initially I set the belt up with all three vents but having the buckleless belt and concern with belt keepers I only wore two. I’ve matched the icevents with a Lead Devil USA predator belt. The icevents are secured with the provided Velcro and I’ve been able to wear it with 4 belt keepers. So far I’ve only had one uncomfortable experience while wearing the icevents but I’m guessing the it’s more because of the small car and not the belt. I’ve also realized that the burning sensation has come from the pants and the tension/torsion on the middle belt loop. That’s not to say that the icevents haven’t helped. The dispersion of the weight from the duty gear leave my hips not feeling sore after a 10 hour shift. Great piece of gear!
Just about to head into summer I have attached the 3 Qoreperformance pads to my duty belt, awesome feeling already.
Used these pads for a shooting comp and they worked great.
My duty belt has never been comfortable, and now with the extra medical and duty gear, it was even worse. My hip bones would develop hot spots and would hurt and ache for the last half of my shift, so I was always readjusting. My waistband would also get super hot and sweaty. With these pads, there is no more pain, my waistline is dry at the end of shift, and the extra adhesion keeps my belt in place, even after foot chases.
Works very well on my duty belt. Helps pad my hips so my gear don’t dig into my body as much Comfortable to wear also
I love these pads so much that I bought 9 total for my plate carrier set up and I’m thinking about at least 1 more for my riggers belt which has 3 on it already but I believe I can fit one more on it. The ventilation, strength, light weight and padding is absolutely incredible. I’m creating a sophisticated, extremely lightweight full body armor system and these pads are so exceptional that they are shot through the whole system. i can easily tell you that Qore performance has got it right as far as ventilation and body temp management is concerned. I absolutely LOOOOOOOOOVE my ice plate and I’m also gonna order the compression shorts and sleeves to complete my temp management system. I wear FULL BODY ARMOR. That means arms and legs people. I use Polyethylene plates exclusively and qore performance’s padding and compression gear is PERFECT. I can run around in full body armor like I was a power ranger with ZERO fatigue thanks in part to qore performance heat management systems and ice vent padding. INCREDIBLE. I’ll be making a video of my new system set-up as soon as it’s complete.
I have been a Qore customer since 2017 with their Ice Plate. The fit was perfect to go behind my soft armor and SAPI.
Recently I saw they offered the Ice Vents and was skeptical at first. I delayed purchasing them until it was time to look for a new shooters belt setup.
Even then I was hestitant so I only ordered the one kit of 3 to test on my belt. I mean they are $70 and I'm not rich.
Man was I wrong, these are phenomenal. With the belt on I couldn't feel the weight as before with my padded belt. I am running a slim belt with these and the weight was just not there.
It was at this point I decided to see how they felt in place of my current shoulder pads on my kit. I promise you my kit fells 10-15lbs ligher fully loaded then it does with the cloth pads.
I was so impressed with how light the kit was I left the pads on and ordered two more of these 3 vent kits. 2 vents replaced the belt pads I put on my flak and 2 vents went on my day pack and 2 will go on my ruck when I stop being lazy and actually need to use it.
I have no idea what type of science there is beind these but I will just call it magic.
If they were bad believe me, I would tell you. These are not.
The only question about them is how long they last and with the way my ice plate had held up I don't forsee that being an issue.
The vented padding is very comfortable and easy to install. Cannot wait to use this summer to see how it holds up in warmer climates.
