The all-new IceVents Aero Universal Holster Pad eliminates the pressure point (hotspot) created by military, law enforcement and competition holster platforms on the nerves that control your lower leg. Despite weighing next to nothing, the IceVents Aero Universal Holster Pad also provides stand-off ventilation. Optimized for the Safariland UBL family of platforms (i.e. Model 6070UBL Mid-Ride Universal Belt Loop, Model 6075UBL Low-Ride Universal Belt Loop, Cubl Vertical Belt Loop, etc.), it can be mounted on any fixed hard holster platform for military, police or competition shooting use.
IceVents Aero Holster Pads can only be secured to the Safariland VUBL via the included Adhesive-backed Hook Velcro Square. The Velcro OneWrap band is not compatible with the Safariland VUBL Adjustable Platform because of the adjustment mechanism, leaving the adhesive-backed Hook Velcro as the only attachment method.
IceVents Aero Holster Pads are available in black. They are almost completely covered by your UBL holster platform and what little remains is covered by the holster itself. This means that even if we made these in Coyote Brown, nobody would see your ninja-ness.
Each Package Contains:
- 1 x IceVents Aero Universal Holster Pad
- 1 x Adhesive-backed Hook Velcro Square (2" x 2")
- 16" Velcro One-Wrap (black)*
The IceVents Aero Universal Holster Pad is covered in hook-receptive loop fabric to work with nearly any hard holster platform using a Velcro One-Wrap connection band.
- Swab the surface of your holster platform where you want to mount your IceVents Aero Universal Holster Pad with rubbing alcohol and let it dry for 1-2 hours.
- Trim the included adhesive-backed hook tape to the desired shape to fit your holster platform in the desired location.
- Apply the trimmed adhesive-backed hook tape and let sit for 24 hours.*
- For maximum strength, simply wrap your holster platform with Velcro OneWrap (included) and thread it through the slits in the IceVents Aero Universal Holster Pad.
*The hook-receptive loop fabric is designed for ventilation and has a lighter hook/loop adhesion than you might be used to for military-specification Velcro. It is strong enough to secure the IceVents Aero Universal Holster Pad to your holster platform since it is pressing up against your leg.

Been running the pads on my holster and belt for a couple of months and multiple training sessions and they perform as advertised. Great product, easy to insyall/apply, quality construction. Highly recommended 👍
Feels great and takes the pressure from the hard holster plastic off your hip. The Velcro attachment doesn’t hold up well on a duty rig for getting in and out of cars. The enclosed straps don’t work on my safariland holster. Would’ve given 5 stars if the attachment component wasn’t giving me issues.
Thank you for taking the time to leave an honest account of your IceVents Aero Holster Pad experience. We're sorry to hear you are having issues with the Velcro OneWrap band. It sounds like you are probably using a Safariland VUBL where the adjustment mechanism interferes with the the Velcro OneWrap band, leaving only the adhesive-backed Velcro squares.
Using one of these on my duty belt made all the difference without me spending 80 dollars on an alternative mounting plate for my holster. I don’t really notice the bottom of my holster digging into my leg anymore. I do think on future designs there could stand to be additional padding at the bottom, but I still give it 5 stars in its current state. I now recommend these to anyone I know in Law Enforcement who doesn’t already use them.
My mid ride drop was causing an issue pressing up against my leg in some circumstances. Probably because I run it more towards the 4 or o'clock position. With this ice pad it’s now much more comfortable and cooler too.
Bought this after my first run and gun. The Safariland drop mount really made a hot spot on my thigh that hurt for days. After installing this before my second run and gun, no issues! Never even knew it was there, either.
Quick and easy thank you
Great product. Used during a backpacking trip and it performed better then I thought it was going to.
Stops the pain from the holster digging into your leg. Worth it.
this is such a must have, they honestly should just sell them together. I dont know of any other companies that make a similar product(im sure there's some) but all Ice Pad products are total game changers. 10 out 10 would recommend to any and everyone. Tell a friend and help them protect their body.
These things really do work, they disperse load and allow the belt line to stay cooler and not trap as much sweat. However the rubber vent backing material feels as though it would be a bit more comfortable if it had some kind of a liner on both sides (possibly some kind of Velcro?) So they stay in place a tad better. Overall I’m happy with the purchase, we will see how they hold up long term.
Thank you for taking the time to share an honest account of your IceVents Aero Holster Pad experience with the community. Regarding the idea of a body-facing liner for the IceVents Aero Holster Pad, we thought it might be helpful to share some testing/R&D background with you. We actually built and tested some prototypes with liners on them, but we discovered they were counterproductive.
BLUF: liners reduced air with an inverse correlation between air flow and grip (more grip = less air flow).
