Each package contains:
- 1x IceVents Classic (2-Pack): Shoulder Pads
- 2x IceVents (2-Pack): Plate Carrier and Body Armor Ventilation
IceVents Classic are designed to be worn with Combat Shirts and other Duty-type Uniforms with collars. Some users might be able to wear IceVents with a t-shirt or other non-collared shirt depending on exact body type and setup preferences. However, wearing IceVents without a collar is not recommended. Actual results may vary.
IceVents Classic Pontoons provide padding and ventilation inside your plate carrier or soft armor on your chest and back, promoting evaporative cooling and eliminating hotspots. Say goodbye to heavy, bulky, and crude legacy ventilation made from foam and switch to wafer-thin, ultra light, conductive IceVents. IceVents connect directly to the inside of all all body armor equipped with body-facing loop fields/pontoons. If your carrier is not equipped with internal pontoons, we provide adhesive hook and loop pontoon strips to adhere/sew onto any plate carrier, chest rig or soft armor vest. While the adhesive is sufficient for most applications, we recommend having your uniform tailor or shoe cobbler professionally sew the loop pontoon strips for strenuous applications.

Excellent product. Safe to assume they would survive a meat grinder and still provide comfort
I got a set of 6 to outfit my JPC for use in a very hot and humid environment. As others have stated, the sticky velcro has some limitations, especially when the heat melts the adhesive and dirt clogs it up. I work with other gear that uses the sticky velcro and decided to sew in the velcro. The loop side to my JPC, and the hook side into the pad itself. Its not the prettiest job, but it is far more secure and I look forward to testing it out. I would like to see either a pre sewn pad, or one with grooves in the material for those of us who will sew it.
Hi J - thanks for taking the time to share an honest account of your experience. We really appreciate it! We thought it might be helpful to call attention to the information about sewing on the IceVents Stand-Off Ventilation Pontoon product page here:
While home sewing can be done, we recommend using your uniform tailor to sew the loop fields to your carrier as specified on the product page above. Hope this is helpful and please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you. Mounting options was one of the intentions behind the internal laser-cut MAPs and loop we have on our IcePlate EXO for accessories like IceVents. #StayFrosty
The IceVent are quit nice and they do what they are advertised to do. I could see these being expanded upon and I can't wait to see what else is done with them. I'd like to see a better system for shoulder straps and such.
I recently used my IceVents on my plate carrier during an intensive training over several weeks. The vents were easy to apply and felt comfortable to wear at first. After about a week of arduous wear I felt almost no difference in cooling or comfort despite being in one of the hottest parts of the country. A couple days after that, the adhesive material holding the velcro to the plate carrier started to peel and get dirt in it and eventually fell off. Overall I feel that I wasted hundreds of dollars on the product.
