I’m a P.O. in a large city that doesn’t allow molle out carriers, all our gear is on our belts. I took a chance on buying these since it’s hard to find companies that make pads for inner belts. The pads relieved all my pain, if you have any doubts, don’t. It’s worth the money.
I’m not an operator, LEO, High Speed or Low Drag, but I wear my kit every day in hot, humid TN. The Qore pads relieved the usual hot spots on my G Code battle belt and made my CCW not just comforting, but comfortable.
I had purchased the holster IceVent first and decided to give the entire belt set up a go a few months after. Needless to say I am happy with my purchase. It removes the hotspots/pressure points I had. Especially around the holster area. Stays in place without belt keepers just fine also.
Bought these last minute for a Rifle/Pistol class up in PA and I always complained about how uncomfortable my belt was until I bought these ice vents. Wore my belt for 7 hours both days and I would not have survived without the ice vents. I had no bruises on my hips like I would get before having these. Was not thrilled on the price but I needed it so I bought it & after wearing my belt for two days with no pain I would have paid double the price because of how well they worked.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share an honest account of your experiences with the community. We love hearing that IceVents Classic delivered for you!
I was having issues with my duty holster digging into my side since I’m not a very slender person so was trying to find something to relieve that hot spot and something to possible help with lower back pain as well. The ice vents did that for me. I can wear my duty gear for my whole 12 hour shift with no hot spots and without having back pain.
IceVents Classic (3-Pack): Universal Vented Padding for Military and Police Duty Belts and Tool Belts
I've been one of the lucky ones without back pain, but my hips were in agony after three years. Shifts would end with lightning like jabs of pain down my right leg wearing my issued Safariland holster. I was issued a holster pad... which didn't help things and now pushed more pain to my left hip from pressure points due to the TASER and assorted item pouches. I was in physiotherapy and the cost was getting to be a bit much. A coworker suggested a battle belt or duty belt liner - but the lack of keepers, heat retention, and obviousness in a deeply traditional service was a non-starter.
I ordered the Icevents expecting nothing. After all, I have an LBV and suspenders, what were they going to do? I have a small waist, so with the pads on my hips, I couldn't fit the third pad on my back with belt keepers installed. Turns out, it didn't matter.
The two pads on the hips eliminated all my suffering. Within weeks I was out of physiotherapy and shortly after, I was able to get rid of the suspenders. The pads distribute pressure like a second skin - I can stand for hours without getting sore from the weight of all the gear. There's no irritation from heat and sweat anymore. They're so low profile that nobody has noticed. The only thing anyone has noticed is how much happier I am at work now.
These make my fat hips feel normal
I have been battling back pain ever since my accident and wearing a duty belt rigged out standing and sitting in my patrol car causes the belt to dig in my back and hips. I came across IceVents and wow what a difference they have made! Extremely comfortable and worth the price.
I have a back issue much like anyone who wears a Sam Browne. I did not expect the Ice vent it to keep my waist cool but it (at least for me) instantly relieved the pressure the belt placed on my back. The weight of the equipment on my belt seemed to lessen. Totally worth getting for back relief.
